We are Giulia Crepaldi and Giuseppe Fasanella, two students of Planning and Management of Tourism Systems. In June and July, we completed our curricular internship at the Stelvio National Park, a protected area that stands out not only for the protection of its natural heritage, but also for the preservation of its historical and cultural heritage dating back to the First World War. During this experience, we supported the Park in its communication activities and collaborated with Società Multiservizi Alta Valle, Bormio's DMO, which plays a central role in developing territorial marketing strategies aimed at attracting visitors and improving their experience. In particular, we worked on integrating some historic trekking trails linked to the Great War into the Valtellina Outdoor platform, as part of the ‘Oltre le tracce della storia’ (Beyond the traces of history) project in collaboration with the Museo della Guerra Bianca (White War Museum). This internship allowed us to gain first-hand knowledge of the dynamics of managing a protected area, a complex context involving a multitude of actors committed to promoting the identity of the territory. It also proved to be a valuable opportunity for gathering data for our theses, both of which focus on the use of the park's heritage.
The Erasmus+ Traineeship Program allows university students enrolled in Master’s degree courses to access curricular internships in one of the countries involved in the Program in companies active in the labor market or in fields like education, training and youth. The grantees will have the chance to gain specific skills and a better understanding of the socio-economic culture of the host country. Erasmus+ grantees will receive a Community grant for the period they spend abroad, whose amount will be determined every year.
Read the call and visit the dedicated page (ITA) for all the information concerning deadlines and procedures.
The student is required to contact the institution or company proposed by the office, e-mailing her/his CV with a letter of presentation. The student, once admitted to the Erasmus mobility interview, can also propose a new hosting institution or company, explaining to the Erasmus Committe how she/he has produced the contact and who are the insitution or company she/he has contacted. In both cases the student will enclose in her/his application a letter where the institution or company declares its will of hosting a traineeship (see the facsimile document to be found at Erasmus+ internships/traineeships).
